NEW YEAR NEW JOB

If you type “new year new job” in google you will find more than 300 million hits. Many people have new job as a resolution for New Year. It is the best time to look for a job. The job may be, even, giving up smoking or going to gym, etc..People tend to move since they feel that other persons grass is greener and look for better opportunities. They are light hearted and light headed during that time and regret subsequently. Laura Frith, Reed Consulting, says that when you have been in a company for a long time, you will gain lot of knowledge and more relationships and these two are very hard someone who will leave. So, companies suggest to progress within.

Ray Mears is working in 3M Company for the past 34 years. He has moved across a lot of roles in that company. He had taken many serious decisions about what he wanted to do in his life. He liked the job and he is working there and this represents his commitment.

But, there are people who cannot work in a same company for a long time. Darek Brown moved on from well paid banking jobs, made a brief appearance as professional athlete, moved into PR and ended up in creating entrepreneurs. His vision was a social scheme aimed at moving children from the classroom to the board room. He says that, all it is about making an informed choice.

It is not a necessary that you have to start a new job for New Year. It’s better to have a new start in the current job.
