Capital IQ Campus Plcaments

Hi
the other day I went to capital IQ Company for attending the campus placements test.

Initially, we had a written test for about 90 minutes.

It had 3 sections Verbal, Aptitude and Programming section.

In Verbal, we have to solve 3Reading comprehensions and rephrase some sentences.

Aptitude was very easy and coming to programming section we had to write 2 programs.

1. Count the number of set bits in a character.

2. Write a program to convert the given number into words. Here, what I mean is if 1234 is the input, the output should be One thousand two hundred and thirty four.

There was a general question at the end stating, “What type of work culture do u like most”?

In written test, we have a convenience of stating what type of job we are looking for. That can be developer, DBA, QA, MIS etc. Also we can write the amount of salary we are expecting both for month and annum.

Then we were given a PPT on that company by the director, for about 45 minutes.

About 36 students attended the test; half of the members were filtered in the 1st round.

Then the interviews started. For developers, they saw how we wrote programs for the questions given and they mainly asked questions on OOPS concepts and for some others they even asked about DBMS.

For QA, they asked questions on projects and some general questions.

For MIS, they asked some basic questions about computing and some topics related to networks.

Again half of the people got filtered and they started another round called interview by the director. He mainly asked questions on our specialization.
